Australian made and owned 100% Natural & Vegan Friendly Beard Care Products
About Us
Our Journey started with a trip to Las Vegas in 2017 when we attended the wedding of a close family member. We were in Vegas for 5 days and we did the usual tourist inspired Casino visits and came across a fantastic Barber & Beard Specialist outlet in the Luxor Casino complex. After getting some great advice from the bearded salesman, Dave purchased his 1st Beard balm and come to think of it, his first beard care product ever.
Dave unfortunately then trimmed his beard to a short stubble look and the newly acquired beard balm sat on the bathroom shelf for nearly 2 years. He then decided to grow his beard back to his Vegas length and started to use the neglected beard balm.
It was then when I noticed this subtle smell whenever I would kiss him as he left for work. I fell in love with the smell and I could not stop smelling his beard and found it to be a real sexy smell. Dave loved the reaction and attention he was getting from me and so he started to use it daily!
Then Covid hit and he ran out of his magic beard balm. Obtaining more was found to be problematic as it wasn’t sold in Australia. Not to be put off I then decided to try and make my own and attempt to replicate the smell.
- Genius Idea!
In the media, it was all about everyone making homemade things, most were attempting sour dough starter, I decided to make beard balms and oils. How hard could it be?
Then the bug hit – I was a woman on a mission, researching and experimenting with different ingredients, scents, and consistencies. Coming from a medical background, I really wanted our product to be all natural and using the best ingredients I could find as I was conscious of potential adverse reactions and sensitivities. This was no easy task!
Dave wanted his magic beard balm and wanted the consistency to be perfect.
Yes he is very picky, to a fault!
After months of daily testing, spreadsheets, gradings and giving out multiple testing samples to a wide range of bearded friends. (all.)
All our testers came from diverse ethnic backgrounds, from Western beards to Middle Eastern beards, we asked all of them who were avid users of beard care products to rate the samples.
We were looking for the perfect blend, i.e., not too oily, greasy or aromatic, we set benchmarks that included feeling great straight out of the tin to speed of emulsification, ease of application, residue after application and scent, and most importantly their partners had to love it!
This was finally achieved after many months of amending the ingredients & consistencies and being open to honest feedback.
Our volunteers, who were not your average testers. We had surgeons and Doctors who were very particular in what they needed and expected, to friends who are senior Sales Managers who were very fussy about their presentation and were set in their ways, with their already tried and tested products.
At this point I was not even considering turning this into a business venture. The feedback was amazing, from everyone, all were saying it was better than their tried and tested products and they wanted more!
We then did some research and purchased the leading products on the market and did some more blind testing and sent out the samples numbered to our multitude of highly skilled testers. Guess what! Our products still came out as the preferred option.
One big bonus was having a fantastic neighbour who also happens to be a Senior Chemist in a large (well known) Natural cosmetic company, he was great source of advice when it came to ingredients and mixing certain ones.
We also asked our local barber and he also help test these products and informed us that he many times had customers wanting a vegan product and therefore we decided to make it not only all natural, but vegan too!
We wanted our brand to be personal, it started at the Luxor and my background is Egyptian, so it was a no brainer!
TUT’s Beard was decided upon.
It all just went from there. Our customers who are currently using our balms have also found it is also great for their hair and the Memphis unscented balm, can be used on tattoos due to all the natural butters and oils!
Our products are Melbourne made, in the foothills of Mt Dandenong.

Testimonials
"I was fortunate to sample most of the Tut’s Beard range and have been easily converted. I have experimented with beard oils for few years, from overseas brands to Australian ones. Tut’s range is one of the best I have tried. The oil scents are fresh with a natural base and not overpowering. The consistency is just right. It was hard to pick a favourite, and I definitely have one, but you know what, every scent was so good that it could easily be a favourite. The beard shampoo is also a total winner. Even though I’m not big on balms, it was easy to love the balm range as it is light and doesn’t grease up. Last but not least, the products are very fairly priced. Thank you Tuts team!"
Dr Kareem M.“Amazing service. Can’t wait to find out what’s next!”

"I have been using Tut’s Products for a while now. I have used several other balms and oils but never have been able to find a product that keeps my beard looking healthy and soft. I like that it is made from all-natural products and that its affordable. Another thing is that I have found that the beard balm is perfect for my tattoos, giving it a protective surface and make it look rejuvenated."

"Given my shaven head, my beard is my pride and joy. I have taken to beard grooming as the elderly take to lawn bowls. I have tried many balms and oils only to find the consistency amiss and the balms smelling of old shoelaces. Not Tut's beard range. I was lucky enough to sample the products on offer and must agree that the consistency is spot on. Not too oily, not too grainy. I have been getting so many compliments about my new found leisure activity (from the ladies as well as the guys...sorry all, already taken!), its made me research beard products more thoroughly and Im happy I made the right choice in choosing Tut's beard products given that they don't have any harmful elements that would sabotage my precious new identity. And the smell, fresh as a daisy wearing perfume I am. Will definitely be buying more and telling everyone I know with even the hint of stubble about Tut's range! Great work team, a locally grown business that deserves recognition.🧔🧔(there are no bald headed beard emojis,i protest!) In this photo im wearing the Luxor balm, highlighting the rainbow in my beard..."
